There is an increased demand around the world for sanitation, protection, and cleaning products. As a result, supplier inventories have been running low, but there is an option. Going directly to the manufacturer is the most efficient way to get the items you need.
For example, if you’re looking for street sanitation tanks, you can place an order with a company such as Plastic Welding and Fabrication, LTD that offers custom plastic tank fabrication.
Plastic sanitation tanks can fill several roles from a cleaning standpoint. They can be used to hold cleaning solutions and chemicals, wastewater, and soiled materials, among other uses. Of course, they’re also ideal as a water storage tank as well. Custom plastic tanks can be made to your specifications to meet all of your sanitation needs.
When you are choosing a company to fill your order, make sure you pick one that is committed to the needs of businesses and the public by filling safety-related orders as a priority. Ideally, you will work with one that has a wide range of custom plastic tank options and a streamlined ordering system that allows you to get a free quote and move ahead with the process without delay.
As the upcoming 2020/2021 school year quickly approaches we’ve found that school districts and furniture manufacturers are rapidly sourcing and securing materials to ensure a safe start to the school year. Installing the recommended Sneeze Guards/Sneeze Barriers is a proven way to limit the spread of germs and viruses. It is an ideal solution for schools, daycare centers, and related settings where children are in close proximity to each other.
These transparent sneeze guards do their jobs very well by blocking the spread of bacteria, and other pathogens while being unobtrusive in a classroom setting due to their optically clear color. Plastic Welding & Fabrication, Ltd. (PWF) has considered all obstacles when designing a solution for the learning environment by adding slip-resistant rubber pieces (so barriers cannot easily slide off the desk), rounded and de-burred corners for additional safety measures (so students/staff cannot cut themselves), and 90 degree top fasteners to keep the shield in place.
Plastic sneeze barriers are commonly made from acrylic, but they can also be made using a polycarbonate sheet for greater durability. Not only are these guards useful for protecting children and staff in a school, but they have also proven helpful in other locations such as pharmacies, grocery store checkout counters, convenience stores, and a wide array of different businesses and organizations.
The presence of these barriers will provide peace of mind to students, parents, and staff alike that steps are being taken to increase safety and combat the spread of COVID-19 and other viruses, such as the flu. One way that you can enhance the capabilities of your metal fabrication shop is to install a Hot-Dip Galvanizing facility. These “Plants” consist of heavy-duty pieces of equipment and the products produced by Plastic Welding & Fabrication, LTD. (PWF) can go a long way in enhancing the strength and corrosion-resistance of such equipment. In this article, we will answer some commonly asked questions about the galvanizing tank specifically.
(Q) What Material Is Used?
(A) PWF will take into consideration all aspects of your operation when selecting the proper material to use for construction of the Galvanizing tank, or “Pickle Tanks”. (Chemical(s) to be used, desired operating temperature, climate for the facility location and any local codes that must be met). Generally, all tanks except the Quench or Caustic tank will be built using 1-1/2″ thick Copolymer Polypropylene (CPP) natural in color.
(Q) What is Copolymer Polypropylene?
(A) Copolymer Polypropylene (CPP) is a thermoplastic that is classified under the Polyolefin group of materials. It has excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. CPP is a little bit softer and more pliable than Homopolymer Polypropylene (HPP) with a much better impact strength to address the concern of cracking with HPP. This material can operate continuously up to 180 Degrees F, which makes it the ideal choice of construction for Hot-Dip Galvanizing Pretreatment Tanks.
(Q) How Do Galvanizing Tanks Get to The Workplace?
(A) All tanks are shipped on flatbed trailers by an 18 wheeler or suitable hot-shot. If required, the tanks may be loaded/unloaded by cranes.
(Q) Are The Tanks Supported?
(A) Years ago, pre-treatment tanks were constructed of “Acid Brick”. As the industry grew and industrialized Drop-In Liners (Un-Supported) were introduced to the market. A few years ago, Freestanding, Self-Supported & Open Top Tanks (Externally Supported W/ Encapsulations) became more popular as the “go-to” choice in the Galvanizing industry from a global aspect. PWF can build a liner that drops into your existing support system OR a complete Freestanding tank that requires only full bottom support.
(Q) Do you offer any warranty?
(A) All of our custom tanks and custom products are backed by a 2-year workmanship warranty. We include this at no additional charge because we feel that you deserve the peace of mind with your new investment.
When planning to purchase a new galvanizing tank, it is important to consult with an experienced company that places customer success and satisfaction at the top of their priorities. Plastic Welding & Fabrication, Ltd. is always standing by to help plan, construct, and install the highest quality products possible while keeping your bottom line at the utmost consideration. Plastic Welding & Fabrication, Ltd. (PWF) began like most other small businesses, in a garage. Our Founder and Owner, Shaun Shoemake made repairs to plastic products and built small projects (As big as he could at the time). Eventually, a particular customer put their faith in us to build an entire hot-dip galvanizing plant, Since then, we have out-grown 2 buildings and occupy 2 large buildings just outside of Austin, Texas. In his days spent in the shop and field, Shaun combined his already vast knowledge of the industry with his notes taken during repairs of the competitions’ tanks and has been aiming to build the superior process tank on the market.
- All designs and welds are in accordance to the international plastic bonding and welding guidelines of the D.V.S. (German Welding System). Several years ago, the D.V.S. was translated into English and adopted by the A.W.S. (American Welding Society).
- All Tanks vertical corners and all butt welds are produced by our thermal corner and butt fusion welding machine with produces 100% strength welds of the parent materials. PWF has one of the newest Butt/Corner fusion welders in the United States for the best possible welds.
- All Encapsulations are thermally bent on our Fusion bender machine, which produces 100% strength welds of parent materials.
- All encapsulation corners are fusion welded on our plate welder for the strongest corner possible.
What’s Included on a Freestanding Tank?
- Tube-steel, sized for your specific tank, then fully encapsulated in 3/8″ Copolymer Polypropylene (CPP).
- Lift points, Four (4) which are located on the top rim flange.
- If required, doublers will be added for additional support from the base to the side-wall and wall to wall.
- Most tanks are built using 1-1/2″ CPP Natural, CPP has ten (10) times the impact resistance of Homo-Polymer Polypropylene. CPP easily handles operating temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, CPP is chemically inert to most chemicals to include hydro-choleric acid, sulfuric acid, caustic rinse, and zinc-ammonium chloride (Pre-Flux).
- Additional options include walkway supports and toe kick plates, sand-blasting and coal tar epoxy coating of the tube-steel before encapsulation, end perforated protective panels for your heater, & More.
