The Patented Thermaflow Heating System for your tank heating needs
(Sulfuric Acid, Rinse water, Zinc Ammonium chloride and Caustic)
Plastic Welding & Fabrication, LTD. (PWF) is proud to present
information to you about the THERMAFLOW HEATING SYSTEM.
The Thermaflow Heating System was designed for galvanizers and built
to save you money. 90% of the available heat is put directly into
the tank where you want it. With this system, you have no more Boilers
or heat exchange coils.
The Thermaflow uses air and gas fired into the top of a carbon
tube which then releases the exhausting products of combustion into
the liquid bath.
This process causes thousands of bubbles to rise up through the
liquid, releasing virtually all of its heat along the way. These
rapidly rising bubbles are channeled through the uniquely designed
housing in such a way as to draw a flow of liquid from the bottom
of the tank through the heater, creating a heat transfer efficiency
of 90% plus!
The heater is controlled and operated from a control panel that
can be placed in a convenient location. Start-up is as easy as turning
a switch and it is continually monitored to assure proper functioning.
Models are available to accommodate tank sizes of a few hundred
gallons to over 30,000 gallons. They are constructed of rugged thermoplastic
and carbon, both of which are inert in acid and preflux.
In the following pages you will find a diagram of the orientation
of the Thermaflow in your tank and comparisons of the Heating System
to Boilers and Carbon Sticks.
Plastic Welding & Fabrication, LTD is the only licensed manufacturer
& distributor of the Thermaflow Heating System. All technology
for this submerged combustion heating system is protected under
United States patent laws.View copy of

Thermaflow vs. Carbon
Stick |
| Carbon sticks have been in the hot dip
galvanizing industry for over 30 years. They are made
of carbon, utilize submerged combustion, and with the
exception of the bottom cap, hold up very well in the
corrosive environment. The thermaflow heaters are constructed
of carbon as well, and this again is because carbon is
inert to acid and preflux, handles extremely high temperatures.

Thermaflow vs. Boiler |
| Boilers have been in the hot
dip galvanizing industry for at least a hundred years.
They are typically fired with natural gas, and transfer
steam or hot water through pipes to heat exchangers submerged
in the tanks to be heated. The Thermaflow heating system
also uses natural gas, and is submerged in the tanks to
facilitate transfer of heat to the liquid baths as well.
